These early weeks of September seem to be as lush with green as possible before the cold sets in. Green lasting until fall is not all that common in eastern Montana where the pastures, prairie and hills are usually shades of brown by now. I'm hanging on to as many impressions as possible, storing them away until we see the blush of spring again in late April or May.
This image originated with a macro photo of a large poplar leaf edge taken this morning with my Nikon D3200 and 40 MM Nikkor lens. The photos were nice enough, but seemed to ask for something not captured in them. So, digital play ensued. It is nice to have a day or two off for such endeavors.
