The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

This was taken in Dead Vlei, Sossusvlei, Namibia, in 2007, having captured the mandatory dead tree shots. The sun was rising, and I waited until it was exactly high enough to throw the long shadows down the dune slipface.
